Information on Data Processing

As a customer or as an interested party or other person concerned we process your personal data primarily to establish and perform the contractual relationship we entered in with you, or because of a legitimate interest. Your data will be collected, saved and, if applicable, be passed on by us, as far as it is necessary to provide the contractually stipulated performance, to carry out direct marketing activities or to pursue other activities of our business operations. A non-provision may have the effect that the contract cannot be closed. Further, we only process your data with your consent or if there is another legal permit.

Purpose of the data processing

We process your personal data to achieve the following purposes in the context of the contractual relationship:

• Implementation of the contract
• Solicitation of existing customers, use a selection criterion for direct marketing, to provide tailor made service to you
• Managing our supplier relationships
• Customer service
• Quality management
• The improvement and development of intelligent and innovative services
• Customer analyses for market and opinion research
• The implementation of our logistics / materials administration

Further, we process your data only with your explicit declaration of assent.

We are processing the following personal data:

• Official contact data
• If so, photos
• Identification / Access data
• Transaction data
• Correspondence data

Categories of Recipients

Partially, we employ external service providers with seats within the European Economic Area to have your data processed. These service providers are carefully selected by us, commissioned in writing and are subject to our directives. They are regularly monitored by us. The service providers will not pass on the data to third parties but will delete them after the performance of the contract and the end of legal data retention periods, unless you agreed to further storage. However, if we are subject to a legal obligation we will pass on your data to the appropriate authorities upon request.

This may concern for example:

• Service providers like, e.g., banks, logistics enterprises, consultants like legal, tax and compliance consultants, IT service providers, telecommunications providers, maintenance companies and waste management companies
• Authorities like the financial authorities,
• Business partners and customers (official contact data)

Legal basis for the processing

Legal basis for the processing of data is in particular:
1. Section 6 paragraph 1 lit. a) based on your consent. However, to conclude a contract or to continue an existing contract a specific consent basically is not necessary,
2. Section 6 paragraph 1 lit. b) for the establishment, performance and finalization of a contractual relationship,
3. Section 6 paragraph 1 lit. c) for the performance of a legal obligation,
4. Section 6 paragraph 1 lit. f) for the observing of legitimate interests.

Our legitimate interests with this are the achievement of the above purposes and are further, for example:

• The observation of our business interests, among others the direct marketing and the solvency check,
• The securing of the compliance with safety regulations, obligations, common standards and other contractual responsibilities,
• The assertion, execution or defence of legal claims,
• The prevention of damages and/or liabilities of the company by appropriate measures,
• The execution of information and communication measures, also those of a promotional nature.

Storage time

After achieving the respective purpose your data will be deleted observing the legal retention periods.
